Temptation Island Season 2: Latest News & Everything We Know
Temptation Island has officially moved to Netflix, making its debut on the streaming giant, where fans binged the entire season—leaving many wondering if there will be a Temptation Island season 2. The show originally aired on Fox from 2001 to 2003 before taking a 15-year hiatus and returning on the USA Network. After five seasons, Temptation Islandfound a new home on Netflix nearly two years after its last TV broadcast. Season 1 introduced four couples and 24 singles, with all ten episodes dropping at once. Mark L. Walberg, the longtime host of Temptation Island, returned to guide the emotional roller-coaster.
The show kept its signature format while adding intriguing twists—such as the temptation haven tent. Temptation Island season 1 had lots of jaw-dropping moments, with couples like Shante Glover and Brion Whitley experiencing infidelity issues but still leaving the island together. While still on a high from season 1, it is time to explore whether there will be a Temptation Island season 2. So, scroll down to see everything we know so far.
Temptation Island Season 2 Latest News
Netflix Will Release Some News Soon
There have been no updates from Netflix on Temptation Island season 2 yet. However, if the show does return, it’s almost certain that Walberg will remain the host. He’s been an ideal fit for Temptation Island, thanks to his warm and empathetic nature—plus, he’s genuinely funny.
He knows how to support contestants at their most vulnerable, as seen in his interactions with Tayler Bird in season 1. Netflix first announced its revival of Temptation Island in January 2024, nearly a year before it premiered. Given that timeline, there’s a strong chance that Temptation Island Season 2 will air sometime in 2026, with an official announcement likely coming later this year.
Temptation Island Season 2 Confirmed?
Not Yet
Netflix has yet to confirm if Temptation Island season 2 will return to the streaming platform. However, based on the positive reviews, there are signs that Netflix will renew the series for a second installment. Season 1 has been a global hit, ranging in Netflix's top ten worldwide, with over 2.7 million views and over 25 million hours watched. Therefore, it is just a matter of time before the streaming giant releases information.

Before any season 2 news, fans can look forward to a Temptation Island season 1 reunion special. However, if renewed, Temptation Island season 2 will follow the same format as season 1 and the exact shooting location. Temptation Island season 1 was filmed in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, which has been the filming location since the show moved to the USA Network. The series, which initially premiered in 2001, was first filmed in Belize. Unless Netflix decides to shake things up with a new location, filming will likely continue on the scenic tropical island of Hawaii.
Temptation Island Season 2 Potential Cast
There Will Be A New Cast
There’s no news yet on who will be part of the Temptation Island season 2 cast. However, the show follows four couples who put their relationships to the test by facing temptation in the form of attractive singles. These couples are split into two villas, where they live separately, and every few days, they’re shown clips of their partners’ experiences. At the final bonfire, they must decide whether to leave together, alone or with someone new.
In season 1, for example, two couples broke up, while the other two left with new partners. Ashley Moore (who joined the show with her boyfriend) Grant Larsen, developed a connection with Danny Spongberg, and the two left together. Therefore, Temptation Island season 2 will have another group of couples ready to put their relationships to the test and see how it goes. Season 1 set the bar too high, considering how dramatic it was, so season 2 might be way better.
When Will Temptation Island Season 2 Start Filming?
It Will Start Soon
The executive producers of Temptation Island, David Goldberg and David Friedman, talked to Variety about the filming process. They revealed that production began in May 2024 and only took 17 days. Therefore, if Netflix gives the green light, Temptation Island season 2 will be released by summer 2025, with the trailer coming out a few weeks before its premiere. For instance, the Temptation Island season 1 trailer came out on February 26, 2025, two weeks before the show aired, teasing the drama that would unfold later in the series (via Netflix).
Netflix's Temptation Island will have a different release schedule from the original Fox edition, as it is with most of their production, whereby filming happens almost a year before the release date. Seasons 1 and 2 aired in 2001, but Temptation Island season 3 didn't return to Fox until August 2003. That trend continued when Temptation Island moved to the USA Network with seasons 4 and 5 in 2019. Therefore, based on the usual Netflix release schedule of their past reality shows, including Love Is Blind and Perfect Match, viewers can expect Temptation Island season 2 between March and May 2026.
