MANILA – The Strong Group Athletics (SGA) team has finalized its roster for the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship with the inclusion of former Ateneo standout Chris Koon.

The tournament is scheduled from Jan. 24 to Feb. 2.

The 6-foot-5 Koon averaged 7.58 points, 4.17 rebounds, and 1.83 assists per game in his final year with the Blue Eagles during UAAP Season 87.

"He has good size as a wing, can shoot, can defend. I think he will be a good role player for us. And we all know he’s been well coached and comes from a great school and program, so it’s good to have him," SGA head coach Charles Tiu said.

Also in the line-up are two-time PBA Finals MVP Mikey Williams, Rhenz Abando, Dave Ildefonso, Jason Brickman, Angelo Kouame, Andray Blatche, NCAA MVP Allen Liwag, Tony Ynot, and Justine Sanchez.

The imports are Americans DeMarcus Cousins, Malachi Richardson, and Terry Larrier.

Richardson, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard, was the 22nd overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. He also played for the Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors before going overseas to play for clubs in Israel, Italy, Poland, Indonesia, and Mexico.

The 6-foot-7 Larrier, who hails from New York, played for San Diego and Winconsin in the G League. He also had stints in Sweden, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Romania, Venezuela, South Africa, and Qatar.

Last year, SGA lost to Al-Riyadi in the final. (PNA)
