Assassin's Creed Shadows: 10 Best Legendary Armor For Naoe

Any Legendary Armor equipped to Naoe in Assassin's Creed Shadows will give her new passive abilities, but the best pieces of any rare gear will play into the stealthy assassin's strengths. Unlike Yasuke, Naoe needs gear that reinforces her unique, stealth-driven approach to combat. Depending on what build you're trying to make for Naoe, some Legendary Armor may be better than others.

Almost 30 pieces of Legendary Armor or Headgear exist for Naoe to earn, find, or buy from the game's Store. While some gear can be difficult to find, most Legendary items are found in Legendary chests held deep within Castles in the world. You'll find both Legendary Armor for Yasuke and Naoe by simply infiltrating and exploring certain locations or progressing far enough into the main story.

10 Hood Of The Dragon

Gain Health From Exploiting Weaknesses

The Hood of the Dragon is a piece of Legendary Headgear for Naoe that will help her regain health in chaotic battles. This gear restores your health when Naoe lands a Weakpoint attack, giving you a way to recover one-third of your vitality in a single, well-placed strike. While Naoe may not get into as many large battles as Yasuke, there may be situations where she needs this ability to restore her health fast.

9 Robes of the Enraged

Disappear From Sight

Easily one of the best Legendary Armor pieces for a stealth-focused Naoe build in AC Shadows is the Robes of the Enraged. This gear gives you the ability to turn invisible for a short time after crouching or staying prone for two seconds. The fast trigger of this armor skill gives you a way to almost instantly disappear from an enemy's sight, staying hidden after performing some sort of action.

This armor is perfect for vanishing into thin air and giving you a chance to retreat into unseen areas. When you activate the invisibility effect of this Legendary gear, you can lose detection from your enemies and have a far easier time picking them off one by one.

8 Hidden Servant Kosode

Gain Skills Faster In Specific Areas

The Hidden Servant Kosode light armor for Naoe increases the amount of Adrenaline you gain in Restricted Zones, such as Castles, strongholds, and other locations swarming with enemies. Skills are some of Naoe's best tools for taking out high-priority targets, especially in heavily guarded areas. This armor allows you to use Skills more often by bolstering how much Adrenaline you gain to spend on those abilities.

Every Ally character in AC Shadows has strong abilities that you can call upon to help you distract, injure, and even assassinate your enemies. From disruptive explosives that help Naoe disappear to poisonous clouds that debuff enemy groups, allies are incredibly strong resources that can turn the tide of battle. With the Mamushi Snake Hood, you can use Ally abilities more often in any combat encounter.

The faster recharge time on Ally cooldown abilities gives Naoe more support when she gets overwhelmed in combat. In contrast to Yasuke, who can handle himself well in big fights, Naoe may need help to get out of larger encounters. Allies like Gennojo, Oni-Yuri, or Katsuhime can attract enemy attention away from Naoe, giving her time to slip back into the shadows to avoid being detected.

6 Tools Master Gear

Follow-Up Assassinations With Another Attack

Assassinating a target usually means a quick fight with their surrounding allies, but the Tools Master Gear can help Naoe reduce the numbers against her after killing someone. This gear lets you throw a Kunai right after an Assassination, allowing you to eliminate or reduce the health of nearby enemies.

Those with a Kunai build for Naoe in AC Shadows will get the most use out of this gear, but it can be effective for other builds too. I've found that this gear is perfect for missions where guards are grouped in pairs of two, with an Assassination of one leading to a quick silencing of the other. At the very least, a Kunai at an additional enemy will make combat after an Assassination slightly easier to handle.

5 Mamushi Snake Robes

Release Poison Clouds Onto Your Enemies

Poison builds for Naoe in AC Shadows can be quite powerful, especially when you equip the Mamushi Snake Robes Legendary Armor. This gear causes dead bodies to produce a large cloud of poison when enemies investigate them, giving Naoe great ways to debuff her foes. Using this armor, follow this simple strategy to eliminate foes with minimal effort:

1. Assassinate a target inside an area with multiple enemies.
2. Wait for other guards/enemies to find that target's body.
3. Stay close but out of sight as enemies investigate the body.
4. Watch the Mamushi Snake Robes effect activate.
5. Use Poison Cloud to obscure Naoe and attack after enemies lose some health.
6. Eliminate remaining weakened enemies easily.
7. Repeat Steps 1-6 for remaining enemies who investigate new bodies.

You don't even have to finish off poisoned enemies impacted by this Legendary item's effect. With enough poison build-up, some enemies will slowly die off without Naoe's input, allowing you to remain hidden and focus on higher health targets. This gear also increases the Poison build-up from other tools, making it very easy to inflict the status condition on even the toughest opponents.

4 Yurei-Walker Hood

Stick To The Shadows For Easier Assassinations

The Yurei-Walker Hood plays into the theme of AC Shadows, encouraging Naoe to stick to the darkness before performing Assassinations. While wearing this Legendary Armor, Naoe can eliminate enemies with higher health when assassinating them from the shadows, making it easier to take out enemies while obscured.

The shadows of light help Naoe avoid detection, but this extra passive bonus gives her the ability to take out almost any target she pleases while hidden. Assassination delivers the highest damage to enemies, but tougher foes can survive some stealth attacks and alert others to Naoe's presence. While it does restrict when you get extra Assassination damage, this gear can help you kill almost any type of enemy​​​​​​in the game.

In my experience, I've found Naoe to have far fewer chances of surviving in a larger battle, especially in heavily guarded areas. For those looking to do more up-front fighting with Naoe, the Last Dance of the Onryo Robe item is a must-have, as it gives Naoe a way to come back to life once after dying. Should you fall in battle, this gear gives you one more chance to get up and adapt to your situation.

You can use this Legendary Light Armor's immunity to eliminate the enemy that killed you, find a way to escape combat, heal using Rations, etc. Every Naoe build can benefit from an extra life provided by this gear, especially if you are struggling to take down a powerful boss or a particularly difficult enemy.

2 Swift Shinobi Hood

Manipulate Time To Stay Hidden

When a stealthy infiltration goes awry, the Swift Shinobi Hood Legendary gear can help you correct your mistakes quickly to stay hidden. This Headgear allows Naoe to slow down time when detected by an enemy, giving her extra time to think about what to do next. You could use the slowed-down time to do a variety of tasks, including:

• Eliminate the enemy that spotted you before they alert anyone else.
• Escape from an area to lower the aggression of potential enemies.
• Find another place to hide to get rid of an enemy's detection.
• Cause a fast distraction to confuse whoever spotted you.

Getting spotted in heavily guarded areas is inevitable, but it can be frustrating to miss out on an opportunity for an Assassination. With this gear, I've found that I can use the slowed-down time to "reset" a situation, giving Naoe another chance to Assassinate a target for the max damage possible.

1 Master Assassin's Gear

Take Out Any Target In One Strike

The Master Assassin's Gear is by far the best Legendary Armor for Naoe, as it allows her to take out nearly any target in the game. This gear adds extra damage to all Assassinations, removing two more Health Segments than normal when Naoe strikes an enemy from the shadows. This armor is almost identical to the Yurei-Walker Hood but with better stats and no restrictions on how its ability triggers.

The passive damage buff to Assassinations from this armor makes Naoe a lethal killer in nearly any situation. This armor also increases Naoe's overall tool damage, giving her more ways to eliminate enemies than even some Legendary weapons.

While you do have to complete several personal questlines to get this gear, Naoe's best assassination builds require this very powerful item. As the best Legendary Armor for Naoe in Assassin's Creed Shadows, the Master Assassin's Gear is well worth the effort it takes to get it.
